Fundamental Credit Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are seeking a Fundamental Credit Analyst to join a growing team and be a key contributor to the build out a Fundamental Credit strategy within a large multi-strategy hedge fund.
  • The Fundamental Credit business invests long and short across Investment Grade, High Yield, and Distressed Corporate Credit with a primary focus on North American companies.
  • As a Fundamental Credit Analyst, you will perform value added investment research to drive idea generation, conduct ongoing diligence on portfolio positions including fundamental modeling and scenario analysis, as well as recommending trade sizing, entry and exit price targets, and hedging opportunities.
  • In addition to primary research on corporate credit fundamentals (SEC filings, indentures, etc.), a key responsibility of this role will be establishing and growing a network of buyside, sell side, and advisor relationships.

DESIRABLE CANDIDATES:

  • Previous experience with the following:
    • Modeling
    • Indentures and credit agreements
    • Bankruptcy process and experience in public markets investing using Bloomberg
  • Collaborative / Communicator
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem solver
  • Detail orientated
  • 5+ years of work experience in a hedge fund / private equity / bank
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills

The applicable base salary range for this role is $150,000-175,000 + discretionary bonus. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
